Growing in Faith, Knowledge, and Purpose

Kindergarten–8th Grade

Kindergarten–8th Grade at St. Robert

At St. Robert, learning is about more than mastering standards. Our students are challenged to think deeply, grow confidently, discover their God-given gifts, and put their learning into action. From Kindergarten through 8th grade, our academic program builds strong foundations while preparing students for what comes next.

Kindergarten–2nd Grade

Building the Foundation

Strong foundations in literacy and mathematics, curiosity through science and history, growing independence, classroom community, and faith formation.

3rd–5th Grade

Growing as Learners

Students move from learning foundational skills toward applying them: deeper reading and writing, increasingly complex

mathematics, hands-on science, history, research, collaboration, and greater responsibility for their learning.

6th–8th Grade

Preparing for What Comes Next

Departmentalized instruction, increasingly rigorous coursework, critical thinking, leadership, electives, service, faith formation, and preparation for high school.

Our Academic Standards

St. Robert Catholic School follows the curriculum standards of the Diocese of Lansing. These rigorous standards guide instruction across grade levels while integrating a Catholic worldview throughout the curriculum.

Beyond the Core

Learning at St. Robert extends beyond traditional academics. Students have opportunities to discover their gifts, explore new interests, grow as leaders, and put their faith into action.

FAITH & FORMATION

Growing in Faith

Faith isn't limited to religion class. Through prayer, Mass, service, and faith woven throughout the curriculum, students learn to recognize God's presence in their everyday lives. Students in PK–6 also participate in Catechesis of the Good Shepherd in our Atria.

EXPLORE & DISCOVER

Discovering Their Gifts

Art, music, band, technology, STEAM, Spanish, and middle school electives give students opportunities to create, explore new interests, solve problems, and discover the gifts and talents that make them uniquely themselves.

LEAD & SERVE

Putting Faith Into Action

As students grow, so do their opportunities to lead and serve. Students learn to take responsibility, care for others, contribute to their school and community, and understand that their gifts are meant to make a difference.
