Mission Statement

The fundamental purpose of Catholic education is to proclaim the Good News and to live it. We strive to make Jesus Christ known by living His message and enacting His ways. The intent is to provide an atmosphere conducive to the development of each pupil as spiritually responsible and socially conscious citizens of the United States.

Our school reflects beauty and warmth. We educate exceedingly well in academics, but now the school also radiates the new penchant for the aesthetic and the arts. In all we think, do, and present, we are child-centered. We believe it defines us.

We practice living our mission statement in the daily life in our school:

Saint Robert Bellarmine is a Catholic institute of learning. The mission of the school extends well beyond the simple delivery of educational services. We provide a Christian environment that enhances our consciousness to actively participate and meet the challenges of our ever-changing and diversified society so that each child may live life to the fullest in accordance with the teachings of Jesus Christ.

We view the child as a total person and know the importance of a child's perception of self. We believe that children want to learn and when actively engaged, can achieve, and enjoy the process. We recognize that each child has strengths, weaknesses, likes, dislikes, fears, and talents. We do our best to encourage the positive qualities. Our school provides opportunities for enrichment and remedial programs.

Saint Robert Bellarmine is a vibrant school. A testament to a great school is one filled with happy learners. We believe we are such a place, and we work diligently to maintain a positive, encouraging, enthusiastic, welcoming, and warm atmosphere.

Our students have numerous avenues where they exhibit and enhance their talents, gifts, and ideas. Their individuality is expressed in such activities as councils, clubs, contests, talent productions, artwork, dance, and parish/community programs. It is our goal to motivate our students so they acquire the skills to be independent learners.

St. Robert Bellarmine has a nucleus of active parents. We routinely renew our efforts to involve all our parents into the total education of their children. A cooperative effort is of the utmost importance to achieve our goals. Communication through newsletters, agendas, letters from teachers, and our Principal, are keys to initiate this openness.

As Catholic educators, we hope to give our children an inner strength as we develop their sense of self-value and self-respect. Our testament for the future will be that, in all we did for our children, our Guide, our Beacon was -- To Teach As Jesus Did. There can be no better legacy.
